Quiet Hero Party! This year was our 7th annual Quiet Hero Party, and it was a smashing success, thanks to many of you! Each year, we team up with the Quiet Hero Party to allow for a more hands on giving approach with the funds raised from the party. Through the first six years, the Quiet Hero Party has raised over $450,000. Proceeds are split between ALS Association of Georgia, Dr. Glass and his ALS research team at Emory, and the FACT Relief Foundation. We are thrilled to announce that this year we raised close to $160,000!!! What a fun night it was, including live music, an auction and some very special presenters from the UGA Football Team, including The Mailman himself, Stetson Bennett! | FACT Relief Receives $20,000 Grant from Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation We are thrilled to announce that FACT Relief was the recipient of the Direct Effect Quality of Life grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation! Sixty-seven grants totaling $1,403,071 were awarded. The Quality of Life Grants Program supports nonprofit organizations that empower individuals living with paralysis. FACT Relief will use this award to help support families that are dealing with something like ALS, that have a need for around the clock care. |

| | Ben Jennings Memorial Fund As you may have heard, Ben passed away last year surrounded by his family after a long, hard, but spirited fight with ALS Thank you so much for your support for FACT Relief and Ben over the years. Your generosity is what helped Ben live out his dream of seeing his boys through high school and beyond. We've established a memorial fund in honor of Ben that will continue to assist families like Ben's that are dealing with ALS and other neurological diseases. |

| | Beneficiary Spotlight:
Michael Moreland Michael was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), is paralyzed from the neck down, and requires a ventilator to breathe. His wife, Tabitha, is his primary caregiver. She reached out to us for assistance with a stair lift. We were able to award the Moreland family with a grant to help cover the uninsured portion of the lift. Now, Michael is able to join his family on the second floor of their home. These things make such a difference in the lives of our families! |

| | Announcing the Brian Parker Enhanced Quality of Life (EQOL) Program We are so pleased to announce this new program! Aimed at people living with paralysis, the EQOL program is designed to help with home care costs that are not covered by insurance, focusing on respite for the primary caregiver. Brian Parker was diagnosed with ALS in 2011 and lived with the disease for over a decade. Completely trapped in his body after a few years, Brian maintained his positive attitude and kept himself engaged, while creating inspiring works of art using the only thing he could move...his eyes! | | Upcoming 5th Annual SPOT Party
for Campbell Clarke Six years ago fellow Mercer University '83 SAE alum Campbell Clarke suffered a debilitating stroke. While it might have taken his ability to move, it has not taken his spirit or mind. It is a financially devastating illness that has taken away his ability to work and earn an income for his family, which includes his loving wife Pam and their twin sons, Byron and Patrick. This year's goal is to raise $35,000 for Campbell Clarke and his family, to support them with medical expenses related to Campbell's stroke. Many of you have shown tremendous support in the past, and we look to you again to help us in raising money to support Campbell and his family.
